Dr. Schulhafer is board certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He graduated from Rutgers University and New Jersey Medical School. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Overlook Hospital, affiliated with Columbia University Medical Center, and a fellowship in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at Long Island College Hospital. He has been in clinical practice in Somerset and Hunterdon Counties since 1988. Our practice, the Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Center, has long treated asthma, hayfever, rashes, contact dermatitis, hives, sinus problems, food and cosmetic allergies, eczema and migraine headaches.
Since 2002, Dr. Schulhafer has received training in comprehensive skin care techniques including microdermabrasion, lasers and intense pulse light for hair removal and skin rejuvenation, facials and peels, Botox, fillers such as collagen, Restylane, and Radiance. We treat photodamaged skin, acne, fine lines and wrinkles, rosacea, melasma, expression lines, oily skin, dry skin, freckles, actinic keratoses, telangiectasias (red lines on the face), age spots, leg veins (varicose veins), and isolated fat and cellulite can be treated with mesotherapy injections.
Dr. Schulhafer is experienced with various lasers and Intense Pulse Light equipment such as Lumenis, Sciton, Syneron, Palomar and Altus. He has trained with Dr. Robert Adrian at the Center for Laser Surgery, Washington, D.C., Dr. David Vasily, Bethlehem, PA, Dr. Michelle Palmer, Del Ray Beach, FL, Dr. Patrick Treacy, Dublin, Ireland and has taken the management course at The Preston Wynne Spa, Saratoga, CA. He attends the national conferences of the Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.
Our staff has been carefully selected. Each member has considerable skills that complement their responsibilities. In addition, all staff members attend training sessions regularly to update those skills. Our nurses have been well trained in caring for our allergy patients and actively participate in your care. They welcome your questions and observations. If any aspect of the practice displeases you, please feel free to share your constructive criticism with our Office Manager. We make every effort to have a warm, friendly and informative atmosphere. We believe this to be part of the therapeutic process.
